Using Trekosa
Trekosa helps dog owners discover and share walking routes. By creating an account you agree to use it lawfully and to keep your login details secure.
No safety guarantee
Trekosa shows what walkers report and information derived from public data. It never confirms that a route is safe. Conditions change constantly: livestock, other dogs, weather, terrain and access can all differ from what's shown. You are responsible for your own and your dog's safety and for assessing any route yourself before and during a walk. Always follow the Countryside Code.
Your contributions
When you map a route or post a report, you allow Trekosa and its community to use that contribution within the app. Keep contributions honest and don't post anything you don't have the right to share. Reports reflect a moment in time and are not promises about future conditions.
When you save a walk you drew, we offer a copy of it to other households by default. Your own walk stays private and is never published: the copy has both ends trimmed so it does not begin where yours does. You can turn this off as you save, or at any time afterwards, and the Privacy Policy explains exactly what the copy shows.
Accounts & deletion
To delete your account, email privacy@trekosa.com. There is no self-serve button for it yet, so a person handles it and we will come back to you within one month. Your personal details are removed; contributions are retained with your name taken off them, so the shared map stays useful to everyone else.
This is a beta
Trekosa is early. Features change, areas open and close as we get them properly ready, and we cannot promise the app is always available. We are in forty-seven of England's forty-seven counties. Outside them we will tell you we are not there yet rather than guess.
Liability
Trekosa is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss or injury arising from use of the app or reliance on information within it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
