Dogs on the beach
Can I take my dog on Seaton beach today?
The ban on part of Seaton beach runs 1 May to 30 September, so today, Tuesday 13 October, it is not in force. It starts again on 1 May 2027. Dogs must be on a lead all year on the esplanade and on West Walk.
From East Devon District Council's Controls on Seashores and Promenades Public Spaces Protection Order 2026, which we read on 1 October 2026. Signs on the beach say where each stretch starts and ends.
