First 250 households: free for good
The field for off-lead. Trekosa for the walk.
A hire field gives a dog who finds open walks hard somewhere to run. Trekosa helps the same owner find the walks in between: away from roads, clear of livestock, with fewer gates and stiles, and the council dog orders shown on the way. We are in every county in England, all of Wales and all of Scotland.

Your customers' dogs
How a customer describes their dog
They talk for a couple of minutes, the way they would tell you at the gate, or tap their answers. Other dogs, bikes, livestock, noise, a dog who needs room to pass: whatever it is becomes a short list that every walk is matched against.
- Say it, or tap itA couple of minutes, in your own words or one tap at a time. We never keep a recording.
- Nothing is kept until you have read itYou see it written down and can change any of it first.
- Your list, not a crowd'sWalks are matched to what you told us, not to what is popular, so nobody is sent to the same place as everybody else.
An example of telling Trekosa about a dog called Skye. Her owner answers the first question out loud, picks where she goes off the lead from a list, and ticks what she finds hard. Trekosa then shows her profile and what her walks have to do: away from livestock, off the roads, water on the way.
Finding a walk
Walks that fit, one at a time
Tell us where to start and how far to go. We look through the walks we hold near there, leave out any that clash with what you told us, and bring you six that suit. Say yes or no to each and the next one comes.
- It is free for your customers, and there is nothing for you to install, sign or pay for.
- It never says a walk is safe, and it does not rate, rank or compare fields.
- Your link carries your code, so we can count the households who joined through it.
Our promise
What we will never tell you
- That a walk is safeNot safe, not secure, not fine off the lead. We cannot know it, the ground changes week to week, and being wrong about that once can set a household back months.
- A top tenA ranked list sends everybody to the same place, which is the fastest way to spoil a quiet one. You get a short list for your dogs. The next person gets a different one.
- Silence, where we know nothingIf nobody has walked it yet, the app says so. If we could not get a council's dog rules, it says that too. An empty space looks like good news, and we will not let it.
What you get instead is the date. Every fact carries who reported it, how many of them, and when it was last checked. Where our data comes from.
Questions
Questions people ask
Short answers, in plain words.
- What would I be asked to do?
- A line in your booking confirmation or a sign at the gate, if you would like to. Nothing more, and nothing at all if you would rather not.
- Does it list or review my field?
- No. Trekosa is a walk finder. It does not rate, rank or compare fields.
- Will it promise a customer a walk will go well?
- No. Nobody can know that, and we will not pretend to. We never call a walk safe. We show what walkers have reported, who reported it and when it was last confirmed, and what is on the ground.
- How would I know a customer came from me?
- Your link carries a code, so we can count the households that join through it.
- What does it cost?
- It is free while we build. The first 250 households to walk a route and check in have Further, the paid tier, free for good.
- Does it work where I live?
- We are in every county in England, all of Wales and all of Scotland. Put in a postcode and it shows you the walks we hold near there.
- Is it on iPhone?
- Yes, in your phone's browser. The Android app is on Google Play, and an iPhone app is on its way.
