Can I take my dog on Budleigh Salterton beach today?
The ban on part of Budleigh Salterton beach runs 1 May to 30 September, so today, Tuesday 13 October, it is not in force. It starts again on 1 May 2027. Dogs must be on a lead all year on the esplanade and grass.

The year at Budleigh Salterton
From 1 May to 30 September (153 days) dogs are banned from Budleigh Salterton beach, all day.
For the other 212 days of the year no ban holds on that stretch.
Dogs must be on a lead all year on the esplanade and grass.
