Dogs on the beach
Can I take my dog on Hayle beach today?
Not on all of it. Today, Tuesday 13 October, dogs are banned from part of Carnsew Pool, Copperhouse Pool, Lelant Saltings and Ryan’s Field. The bans run 1 July to 31 August, from 10:00 to 18:00, on Harvey’s Towans and Gwithian to Godrevy; all year, all day, on Carnsew Pool, Copperhouse Pool, Lelant Saltings and Ryan’s Field. Outside those stretches the order bans dogs from none of the beach.

The year at Hayle
From 1 July to 31 August (62 days) dogs are banned from Harvey’s Towans and Gwithian to Godrevy, from 10:00 to 18:00.
Dogs are banned from Carnsew Pool, Copperhouse Pool, Lelant Saltings and Ryan’s Field all year, all day.
- Along the coast, Portreath: No ban today; the summer ban starts again on 1 July 2027.
- Along the coast, Carbis Bay: No ban today; the summer ban starts again on 15 May 2027.
