From Cornwall Council's Dogs on Beaches Public Spaces Protection Order 2026, which runs until 12 April 2029. We read it on 30 September 2026.

Summerleaze beach at Bude, and Polruan's beaches from Easter to 1 October, are on a lead under a separate order that ends on 14 October 2026 with no renewal published yet, and the Isles of Scilly's order bans dogs from Old Town Beach by day in summer. We have not placed these, so they are not listed here.

What the orders say here

Cornwall Council has put 52 stretches of beach off limits to dogs, across 30 towns.

The seasons are 15 May to 30 September, 1 July to 31 August and all year, and 48 bans hold only at set hours of the day.

Each answer is worked out on the day, in UK time, from the order's own dates, so a ban that has not started or has ended says so. Where we have not placed an order on a beach, the page says that, and never reads silence as permission.
