Dogs on the beach
Can I take my dog on Mevagissey beach today?
The ban on part of Portmellon Cove runs 1 July to 31 August, so today, Tuesday 13 October, it is not in force. It starts again on 1 July 2027.
From Cornwall Council's Dogs on Beaches Public Spaces Protection Order 2026, which we read on 30 September 2026. Signs on the beach say where each stretch starts and ends.
